Cynthia Haider Psychology

Hi! I’m Cynthia.

I’m a Registered Psychologist and I’m deeply passionate about supporting people as they move through their healing journey. I’m drawn to this work because I believe that even in our most difficult moments, there is meaning, resilience, and the capacity for change. What I value most as a therapist is being able to witness that transformation and walk alongside my clients as they reconnect with themselves in a more grounded, authentic way.

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma (acute and PTSD), perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, chronic stress and anger issues. I also support people impacted by experiences such as abuse, motor vehicle accidents (MVAs), childhood trauma or long-standing relational wounds.

My practice is also neuro-affirming, and I have extensive experience working with neurodiverse individuals (ADHD and Autism), helping them navigate emotional dysregulation, strengthen executive functioning, and build social skills in ways that feel practical and empowering.

My approach is collaborative and I integrate evidence-based therapies with gentle exploration of spiritual and existential themes. This includes an attitude of radical acceptance, learning to make space for both joy and pain as meaningful parts of life.

My intention is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward in a way that feels true to you. Together, we’ll uncover what’s beneath the surface, helping you understand your patterns, and build a stronger, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

If you’re interested in working together, I invite you to book a free consultation to see if it feels like a good fit.

Personal Interests:

Outside of my work, I love spending time in nature—whether that’s traveling somewhere new or going for a walk with my partner and kids, who are at the heart of my life. It’s the simple, everyday moments with my family that keep me grounded and inspired.

I have a creative side and enjoy expressing it through art, whether through drawing or scrapbooking. I also love getting lost in a good film or book. One of my favourite ways to recharge is curling up in bed with a book and letting the world slow down for a while.

At my core, I’m drawn to the idea of practicing nothingness—creating space to simply be, so I can stay connected to my sense of freedom, presence, and authenticity.
