Heart Body Mind Psychological & Assessment Services

Starting September 2026!

I'm Alison, a neurodivergent therapist who cares deeply about helping people feel more connected to themselves and others. I believe there is something powerful about understanding where our beliefs, emotions, and ways of coping come from-- not to judge them, but to make space for what they are trying to tell us.

I enjoy working with emerging adults and adults navigating life transitions, ADHD, anxiety, depression, loneliness, self-comparison, relationship and family challenges, and grief or loss. I have a particular interest in supporting other neurodivergent folks in understanding how differences in attention, emotion regulation, executive functioning may show up in everyday life and relationships. I'm also passionate about supporting people who are trying to make sense of themselves in a world where technology and social media increasingly influence our attention, relationships, well-being, and sense of self. Whether through therapy or psychological assessment, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, build practical tools for lasting change, and feel more connected to who you are, and the people around you.

My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in an intersectional feminist and existential lens, meaning I strive to hold your full context with compassion while exploring meaning, choice, and how you want to move forward. I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative therapy techniques, adapting my approach to what feels most helpful for you. When appropriate, we may also explore how factors such as sleep, nutrition, movement, technology, and other aspects of daily life that may be influencing your mental health.

Personal Interests

If I’m not doing a deep-dive on my latest psychology-based interest, you can find me scratching my creative itch: working on my art, starting renovation projects, enjoying yummy food, or reading and writing. I also love to be active and am passionate about connecting with my body through any type of exercise or activity. To wind down, nothing soothes me better than watching something that makes me both laugh and cry, while curled up with my life-partner and our dog.
