Angela Lafreniere (She/Her), Graduate Intern Therapist
Heart Body Mind Psychological & Assessment Services
Hey there, I’m Angela!
I’m currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My interest in counselling grew from working with diverse populations and realizing how powerful it is to feel truly heard and understood, especially during moments that feel confusing, overwhelming, or hard to put into words.
I find myself really drawn to conversations around relationships, attachment, and how our past experiences shape the way we see ourselves and connect with others. A lot of the time, people come in trying to make sense of things like anxiety, identity, or transitions in life, and I value creating space for that exploration without pressure to have everything figured out.
My approach is person-centered and relational. I focus on creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and non-judgmental, where you can show up as you are. We’ll move at your pace, making sense of your experiences together in a way that feels grounding and meaningful.

Personal Interests
Outside of counselling, I have a strong passion for travelling and love experiencing new places, cultures, and ways of life, especially when it involves beautiful scenery. I also really enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, and connecting with people.
I’m a certified yoga teacher, and movement and mindfulness are important parts of how I take care of myself and stay grounded. I’m also a proud dog mom to my golden retriever, Phoebe, who brings a lot of joy and personality into my life.
