Andie Leeson (She/They), Graduate Intern Therapist
Heart Body Mind Psychological & Assessment Services
Hi folks, I go by Andie (she/they) and I am a neurodivergent philosopher-at-heart who is passionate about helping people, especially those that might identify as "weirdos" or "misfits", feel heard, supported, and understood.
I draw from a variety of theoretical perspectives that help me engage with all kinds of people from different walks of life, and I am fascinated by the ways people create meaning despite the immense challenges life throws at us. My background in working with severely traumatized youth gives me a trauma-informed lens, where I draw on acceptance and narrative approaches to what can seem like impossible situations.
I strive to meet clients with authentic, serious (but not too serious), intensely curious, open collaboration to help bring about the experiences or changes they hope for.

Personal Interests
I enjoy a variety of activities, I play violin and guitar, I play on a competitive woman's soccer team, I like sketching portraits or totally weird abstract doodles, I read philosophy books or watch lectures for fun, and in my life before psychology I enjoyed disassembling malware.
