Dani Perez (They/She), C.C.C.
Sip & Psych
Hey, I’m Dani! I’m a biracial, queer, nonbinary, neurodivergent human who loves being a therapist and walking alongside people as they navigate the complexities of living. I find so much inspiration from my time spent in the wild and in-between places: the colours of dusk and the early breath of dawn, the line where the waves meet the sand and rock, the places where the mountains touch the sky. These places of in-between have taught me, continually so, to hold heartbreak, grief, and sorrow alongside joy, beauty, and curiosity.
Clients I work with are often working hard to navigate their own wild and in-between places. Some, but certainly not all, of those clients include couples and individuals of all ages from 2SLGBTQIA+ and genderqueer communities, folks navigating complex relational dynamics, and those coming from religious trauma or high-control religious groups. I also work with bereavement, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and life transitions.
My framework for therapy comes from trauma-informed, somatic, and feminist roots. The primary therapeutic modalities I use are Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT). If you feel like we might be a good fit, please reach out to me for a free 15-min consult. I’ll do my best to answer any questions you have (even if it’s just, “Dani, what does “Narrative therapy” even mean??”) — I’m happy to come alongside you and help you untangle some of the many threads in the tapestry of being human.
