Elisha Comeau (She/Her), Graduate Intern Therapist
Heart Body Mind Psychological & Assessment Services
Hi! I’m Elisha (she/her). I’m a counselling intern who believes in meeting people with gentleness, curiosity, and respect for the wisdom held in their stories and bodies. Some of my own lived experiences—growing up in a military family and being a medical mom—guided me toward my inner healing, shaped who I am as a therapist, and ignited my passion for mental health and social justice.
I find profound meaning in offering a safe, grounding, and non-judgmental space where people can gently lean into themselves while feeling compassionately supported. I view therapy as a collaborative process—one where we walk together—while honouring that you are the expert of your own life. It takes remarkable courage to embark on a healing journey, and it is an honour to witness and support you as you connect with the deeper places and parts within yourself.
In our work together, I integrate approaches that centre the body (somatic) and emotions. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed and feminist principles, with attention to the impact of systems of power and the broader societal forces that shape our lives.

Personal Interests
A little more about me, I’m a long-time yogi with 18 years of practice. I’m also a hiking enthusiast—the mountains help ground me and awaken my spirit. Water is my element, and paddle boarding is my joy. My appetite for adventure has taken me backpacking across Australia and Peru, volunteering in South Africa, and working in South Korea. Speaking to my everyday, I feel grateful for my puppy Rollo, who keeps me playful!
