Gemma Reynolds (She/Her), Registered Provisional Psychologist
Heal With Me Psychology
Hello! My name is Gemma and I’m a Registered Provisional Psychologist.
My interest in this work grew from personal experiences that showed me how important it is to have support that feels genuine, respectful, and free of judgement. Because of that, I prioritize creating a space where you can be honest about what is going on in your life- even the parts that feel messy, confusing, or hard to talk about. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel safe, validated, and able to show up as your unfiltered self.
I support people with a range of concerns, with a particular focus on addiction and mental health concerns that occur together (called concurrent disorders), OCD, relationship concerns (e.g., healing after difficult or hurtful relationships, breakups, establishing boundaries, communication), emotion regulation (e.g., self-harm, coping skills), and self-esteem. I also work with couples who feel disconnected, are stuck in patterns of conflict, or want to strengthen their communication and understanding of each other.
My work in these areas is shaped by both professional training and personal experience. For example, as someone who lives with OCD, I understand how difficult it can be to open up about intrusive thoughts and compulsions, and I aim to offer a space where you feel like you do not have to hide those experiences. I am also particularly passionate about supporting individuals navigating substance use and take a non-judgmental approach that focuses on goals that feel realistic for you.
I tailor therapy to each person’s needs and preferences. I aim to build on your strengths, look at patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work towards changes that extend beyond the therapy room. I aim to show up as a real and relatable person who is in your corner, cheering you on every step of the way.

Personal Interests:
I’m originally from Medicine Hat, Alberta, which gave me an appreciation for both small-town roots and bigger city life in Calgary. Growing up, I lived and breathed horses and spent many years involved in competitive show jumping. Animals are still a big part of my life, and I try to spend as much time around them as I can.
I’m also a big music and concert person, which is honestly part of what brought me to Calgary. I love punk rock, metalcore, alternative rock, and the occasional heavier genres. I’m often traveling for shows, lining up early for a good spot, and I’m always open to comparing our Spotify or Apple Music wrapped.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, rewatching the same comfort shows, and prioritizing a good nap. Although I’m glad to have finished school, I continue to enjoy writing, contributing to research articles, and attending conferences to keep learning and stay connected to the field.
