Maureen Killani (She/her), Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Eden Noir Counselling
Hi, I’m Maureen Killani, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Your identity extends far beyond where you live. You may love where you come from while also becoming someone your family may not fully understand, and it can be difficult to know which parts of your life are truly yours. I learned early how to adapt, keep going, and carry expectations while still figuring out who I was becoming. Like many of the people I now support, asking for help did not always come naturally to me. That experience continues to shape how I show up for clients navigating similar pressures.
My approach is person-centred, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. In our sessions, clients can expect warmth, genuine conversation, collaboration, and gentle challenge. My hope is to create a space where people feel understood and supported as we explore what matters to them, together.
