Tyler Raymond (He/Him), Registered Provisional Psychologist
Halcyon Psychological
Hello and welcome! My name is Tyler, I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and the founder of Halcyon Psychological. You may be wondering what Halcyon means, it denotes a state of peace, tranquility, and undisturbed existence. In a mythological context, ‘Halcyon Days’ refers to a period where the Halcyon Kingfisher calms the stormy seas in order to nest and wean its young.
The idea behind this myth is a central tenant of my approach to therapy. Life is a broad spectrum of experiences, just as there are moments of peace and triumph, difficulty and strife are inevitable. Not unlike the legend of the Halcyon Kingfisher, we have the components within us to calm life’s storms and invite tranquility, we just need the proper tools and support.
I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate the full spectrum of life’s experiences, from stormy skies to placid seas.
I am currently accepting new adult clients, both individuals and couples. I am available to work with those experiencing grief and loss, or facing challenges around anxiety, depression, life transitions, ADHD, or emotional regulation.

Personal Interests:
Prior to pursuing an education in psychology, I completed an undergraduate degree in business. I spent several years working within a directorship role in the fashion and beauty industry.
Outside of my work life, I really enjoy movement and exercise. Depending on the day, you can find me at a yoga class, swimming lengths at the pool, trying to beat my personal bests while resistance training, or taking long walks (especially in fall). I feel recharged in nature and try to head out to the mountains whenever the opportunity arises.
I am very much a homebody, with much time spent reading, baking (a chocolate chip cookie can really turn around a bad day), or endeavoring into home improvement projects.
